Laura is known for being a practical and down to earth yogi with an exceptionally playful and inquisitive approach to teaching Vinyasa Flow.
She believes that to be a yogi is to be a ‘sovereign of the self’ (as her teacher James Boag would say). That is to learn to take responsibility for ourselves and the impact we have on the world. Laura does this by combining her growing knowledge of science and understanding of yogic philosophy to bring yoga in to the evidence based present and hopes to see these two worlds collide. It is happening and Laura is forever inspired by the people already working very hard to make this become the norm.
Laura was the first Lululemon ambassador in Glasgow and has taught in various countries throughout the world. Her videos and writing have been featured in OM Yoga Magazine and on various platforms for BBC Scotland. She graduated top of the year in her Masters in Sport and Exercise Science and Medicine at the University of Glasgow and is currently studying Medicine to become a Doctor at the University of Aberdeen alongside her Yoga teaching. She has hopes to be part of bringing Medicine, Yoga, Walking and Mindfulness together in the healthcare system and is thankful for her yoga practice keeping her on course.
