PINK LOTUS YOGA FESTIVAL 2020
Postponed until June 2021
ALL PROCEEDS GO TO CHARITY – NESS (North East Sensory Services) and THE ARUNACHALA TRUST
We have taken the decision to postpone the Pink Lotus Yoga Festival to next year. As you know, we already took the decision to move the festival from in person, to online. Now we feel the time has come to postpone.
We have wrestled with this feeling for a while that something was not quite right. The energy was not quite right.
The joy and feeling from the Pink Lotus Yoga Festival and the 108 Sun Salutations has always been from getting us together in person as a group – feeling and experiencing the shared energy together with different teachers, different styles of classes, fellow yoga practitioners you know and don’t know, the beautiful stallholders, the accomplishment of 108 Sun Salutations (108!!!!), the taste and experience of the Prasadam after, sharing together how much money we raised for charity, and, of course being with Kirtan Scotland. That is what feels right. In person, feels right. Based on the community feedback and energy, this is what feels right.
We usually have around 200 participants for the festival over the weekend and this year’s figures are nowhere near that.
We did not take this decision lightly and recognise the work that has been put in by everyone involved – we thank you all deeply from the bottom of our hearts. Online at this time is just not going to work.
What are we going to do? We are moving the festival to Sunday 20 June 2021, as close as possible to the International Day of Yoga 2021 and ticket holders will be able to use their tickets for that.
We thank you so much for your support so far and note that we have raised almost £1500 for charity so far!!!!!!!!
If you have a ticket for the festival, you will be able to use it next year. If, however, you would like your donation for the ticket refunded, please let us know.
